Rock Dust Light Star Gets Its US Release Date!

Categories: General on 06/04/2012

Executive Music Group announces the release of Rock Dust Light Star by Grammy Award winning, UK based, pop-funk/acid jazz artist Jamiroquai. This marks album number seven for Jamiroquai, and Executive Music Group is excited to promote the release of this already successful record to the North American audience.

Fronted by the charismatic Jay Kay, the overseas release was the band's first album in five years, following Dynamite with the kind of catchiness that made Jamiroquai a household name. Recorded between Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Thailand, Rock Dust Light Star features the single “White Knuckle Ride.” This record shows the group's talent remains as strong in 2012 as it was in 1994.

“We are very excited to add Jamiroquai to our already amazing line up of talented artists. Not only are they amazing artists, but they are taking fresh approach to the art of music and really resonates with crowds of all ages.” said Jimmy Swan, of Executive Music Group.

Rock Dust Light Star, a record described as the band’s best work before it was even released, will drop in North America later this month. The special Limited Edition Double Vinyl + CD will be released on April 17th just in time for Record Store Day 2012 in all independent music retailers. The national retail and digital release will take place the following week on April 24th.

Please come the the northeast of the USA, e.g., Washington, DC. We really need some good music here for a change. I cannot listen to the radio anymore. No good tunes on. Peace. Look forward to seeing you on tour. If I can help in any way to get a tour here, e-mail me htmorrison@netzero.net. Best regards, Tom Morrison

Donna Summer passed away today. It is a sad day. Jamiroquai covered "Bad Girls" soooo well. I think maybe even better than the original. I saw it in the Live From Verona, Italy DVD. I hope that Jamiroquai makes some tribute to Ms. Summer.
